Biscuits & Gravy

Serves 4 – 5
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes




1 package                   large biscuits, refrigerated
1 pound                       breakfast sausage
¼ pound                      bacon, diced
1 cup                           onions, diced
½ cup                          flour
2 tablespoons              shortening
4 cups                         milk
salt/pepper to taste

biscuits and gravy


Prepare biscuits according to package. Meanwhile brown sausage, bacon and onions in skillet over medium heat. Add shortening and gradually whisk in flour until roux forms. Add milk one cup at a time continue to cook over medium heat until thick gravy forms (add additional milk if necessary) Salt and pepper to taste
