Slow Cooker Chili

Serves 4 -8
Prep Time 20 – 30 minutes
Cook Time: high 3 -4 hours or low 5 – 6 hours

What you will need:


1 pound                                           Ground Beef or Venison, browned
1 cup
                                                Bacon, sliced thin
1 ½ cup
                                            Green Pepper, chopped
1 ½ cup
                                            Onion, chopped
1 ½ cup
                                            Celery, chopped
1
                                                       Jalapeño, minced
3 cloves
                                           Garlic, minced
2—28 ounce cans
                         Crushed Tomatoes
¼10.5 ounce can                       
Campbell’s® Beef Broth
2—16 ounce cans                         Bushes Chili Beans
¼ – ½ can                                        Light Beer
¼ cup
                                               Brown Sugar
3 teaspoons
                                   Cumin
1 teaspoon
                                     Ground Cayenne Pepper

Directions:

In large skillet combine; ground beef/venison, bacon, onions, celery, jalapeño, green pepper, and garlic.

Cook until ground beef is browned. ( I usually do this because the vegetables tend to take longer to fully cook in the crockpot)

Once ground beef is browned add 1/2 – 14 can of light beer, let cook for another 5 minutes. then transfer to crockpot

Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, chili beans, brown sugar, cumin, and cayenne pepper.

Let cook for 3- 4 hours on high or 5 – 6 hours on low

Serve With:
Sliced Jalapeños, Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Fritos Crackers, or Bread Bowls
